Al-Fatah: Ending the US presence depends on the strength of the Iraqi negotiator

Khaled Al-Saray, a member of the Fatah Coalition, confirmed today, Thursday, that the issue of ending the American presence in Iraq is connected to the strength of the Iraqi negotiator and that the presence of any foreign forces in Iraq is regarded as an occupation.

“The Iraqi negotiator represented by the joint committees is working on the file of ending the American presence, but it lacks political experience and maneuvering,” Al-Saray stated in a statement to, noting that “America is often evasive in this file in order to protect its interests in the Middle East.”

“The Iraqi army and other security forces are in control of the country, in addition to forming the largest military force after 2014, represented by the Popular Mobilization Forces,” he continued, “Iraq does not need any foreign security forces to protect it, as Iraq today is different from 2014.”

It is important to note that the delegation that traveled to Washington for the negotiation process lacked manipulative diplomats and politicians.
