Al-Fatah Collusion pioneer Adi Abdul Hadi affirmed on Thursday that there is no proviso for underage marriage in the new change to the Individual Status Regulation.
Abdul Hadi told , “For a few days at this point, web-based entertainment stages have been seeing the siphoning of an immense measure of bogus data about the changes to the Individual Status Regulation, noticing that a large portion of what is distributed comes from parties attempting to confound matters and damage the arrangements of the corrections by distributing misdirecting claims.”
He added, “There is no notice of marriage of minors matured 9 years or more in the individual status changes, as the thing is being proposed is off base, taking note of that the law ensures that marriage won’t be closed external the court to ensure the freedoms of ladies and kids.”
“The other important points in the amendments give every Iraqi the right to choose any law in personal status and it will not be retroactive,” he said.
