Hussein Ali Al-Karaawi, the leader of the popular movement’s organizing committee, believes that the Iraqi government is unable to free Iraqi cash from the US Federal Bank’s custody as of this Thursday.
Al-Karaawi stated, “The dollar has taken on external dimensions for which the United States of America is accountable, implying that citizens are directly impacted by American sanctions against their nation.”
“The American pressure on Iraq aims to achieve several goals, including besieging the Iraqi people and extending the stay of American forces,” he continued.
Moeen Al-Kadhimi, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, charged earlier today that the US was acting arbitrarily against the Sudanese government.
