The media advisor to the Prime Minister, Hisham Al-Rikabi, stated that the battle with the dollar is almost over, and the official price will be reached soon.
In the program “Before Tomorrow” followed by “Jarida”, Al-Rikabi explained that the American officials were astounded by the swift economic measures taken by the Iraqi government. He also denied any American economic blockade on Iraq and regarded all talks about it as inaccurate.
He stated that they took strong measures to tame and eliminate the dollar crisis. Many parties that practice money laundering have been neutralized, and the speculators’ market has become limited.
