Currently, discussions are centered on formulating a clear implementation strategy for the currency replacement process, including the transitional phase during which both currencies will coexist…as well as the measures necessary to integrate the maximum amount of cash…into the official financial system…If a decision is reached…then the renaming…could establish that every thousand dinars of the old currency would equal one dinar of the new currency…The Iraqi populace is eagerly awaiting any official announcement in the upcoming days that could transition one of the most critical financial matters in the country from the phase of studies and discussions to that of decision-making and execution.
