NFT sales reached $39.85 million in the seven days leading up to October 10, marking a 0.90% increase from the previous week. Ethereum remained the leading blockchain for NFT sales, while Pudgy Penguins recorded a sharp jump in sales.

However, the modest increase in total sales came alongside a steep drop in buyer and seller addresses, suggesting that fewer wallets participated in the market during the week.

Summary

  • Weekly NFT sales reached $39.85 million, up 0.90%.
  • Buyer addresses fell 85.33%, while transactions declined 6.92% to 778,055.
  • Ethereum led blockchains with $17.60 million in sales.
  • Courtyard topped NFT collections with $7.68 million in sales.
  • Pudgy Penguins sales jumped 125.66%, while a Bitcoin-based BRC-20 NFT recorded the week’s largest individual sale.

According to CryptoSlam data checked on October 10, total NFT sales reached $39,853,744 over seven days. The platform recorded 30,332 buyer addresses, down 85.33%, and 30,598 seller addresses, down 84.45%.

The total number of transactions also fell 6.92% to 778,055. Based on the reported figures, the average recorded transaction value was approximately $51.22.

Meanwhile, broader cryptocurrency markets remained active. CoinGecko data placed Bitcoin near $82,768 and Ethereum around $2,494 on October 10, with the total cryptocurrency market capitalization at approximately $2.89 trillion.

Ethereum leads NFT sales with $17.60 million

Ethereum ranked first among blockchains, generating $17.60 million in NFT sales during the week. That was an increase of 4.52% from the previous seven-day period, accounting for approximately 44.2% of total NFT sales.

Ethereum recorded 4,254 buyer addresses, down 85.84%. Its separately reported wash-trading volume reached $1.15 million, up 12.45%. Wash trading is a category of activity tracked separately from the main sales figures and should not be treated as additional organic demand.

Polygon ranked second with $8.62 million in sales, up 5.76%. The network recorded 10,055 buyer addresses, a decline of 78.88%.

Polygon’s reported wash-trading volume reached $19.03 million, down 17.86%. This figure remained separate from its ranked sales total.

Bitcoin placed third with $3.55 million in sales, down 7.33%. Its buyer addresses fell 88.02% to 1,243, while wash-trading volume declined 2.42% to approximately $80,297.

Immutable ranked fourth with $2.64 million in sales, up 22.06%. Base followed with $2.40 million, a 27.87% increase.

BNB Chain recorded $1.80 million in sales, down 16.26%, while Solana generated approximately $1.57 million, a decline of 10.51%.

Together, these six leading blockchains generated around $36.62 million in NFT sales, representing approximately 91.9% of the global total.

Courtyard leads NFT collection sales

Courtyard topped the collection rankings with $7.68 million in weekly sales, an increase of 6.56%. The Polygon-based collection accounted for approximately 19.3% of all NFT sales recorded during the period.

Courtyard processed 133,068 transactions, up 7.52%. Its buyer addresses declined 7.50% to 19,547, while seller addresses fell 3.96% to 15,397.

The collection links digital collectibles to physical items held in storage. Owners can request delivery of eligible items under Courtyard’s redemption and shipping procedures.

CryptoPunks ranked second with $2.45 million in sales, up 24.45%. Transactions increased 23.81% to 26, while buyer addresses remained unchanged at 18.

Pudgy Penguins placed third with $1.50 million in sales, marking a 125.66% increase from the previous week. Transactions jumped 151.28% to 196.

The collection recorded 94 buyer addresses, up 54.10%, and 123 seller addresses, an increase of 101.64%.

Guild of Guardians Heroes ranked fourth with $1.34 million in sales, up 27.96%. Argonauts followed with approximately $1.34 million, an increase of 11.89%.

Base-based Beezie recorded $847,665 in sales, up 18.08%, while Ethereum-based Claus generated $823,768.

The results show that several leading collections recorded stronger sales even as the broader NFT market experienced a sharp decline in participating addresses.

Bitcoin-based BRC-20 NFT records the largest individual sale

A Bitcoin-based NFT from the $8888 BRC-20 collection recorded the largest individual sale in CryptoSlam’s weekly rankings.

The NFT sold for $327,125.81, equivalent to approximately 3.9989 BTC. The transaction took place roughly one day before the October 10 dashboard check.

The sale accounted for nearly all of the collection’s reported $327,134 in weekly volume, which came from two transactions.

Flying Tulip PUT #7571 ranked second with a sale valued at $148,851, paid in USDT on Ethereum.

CryptoPunks #2651 followed with a sale worth approximately $135,637, equivalent to 50 ETH. CryptoPunks #5713 ranked fourth at about $132,924, or 49 ETH.

Flying Tulip PUT #149 completed the top five with a sale valued at $126,873, also settled in USDT on Ethereum.

These high-value transactions helped highlight the difference between total market activity and individual sales. While some NFTs changed hands for six-figure sums, the overall market recorded a steep decline in buyer and seller addresses.

Overall, NFT sales edged higher during the week, led by Ethereum and supported by stronger activity in collections such as Pudgy Penguins and CryptoPunks. However, the decline in participating addresses and total transactions shows that the small increase in sales value did not reflect a broad rise in market participation.
