Earlier this week, the President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce (FICC), Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, welcomed a group from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to the Federation’s offices.

The mission was led by Dr. Heike Harmgart, the EBRD’s Managing Director for the Middle East, and comprised His Excellency Mr. Thomas Seiler, the EU Ambassador, as well as numerous other members.

During the discussion, numerous themes related to the growth of the Iraqi economy were covered, including the European Bank’s assistance to Iraqi businesspeople in funding industrial, agricultural, and other key sectors critical to the local economy.
