Economic expert Nabil Al-Ali emphasized that the government must submit schedules for budget expenditures for the current year. He added that the government will negotiate with political forces to pass the amendments.
Al-Ali stated that amendments will be made to the budget law to update spending and revenue tables and calculate the new fiscal deficit.
“He stated that the tables provided in the initial version pertained to the budget of 2023. He further emphasized that the proposed amendments necessitate the government to persuade the political parties, notably the supporting parties, to pass them within the Parliament’s purview.”
He mentioned that some amendments would be necessary to accomplish its tasks and implement its government program in the current year.
