Electricity issues a set of directives to improve energy in Baghdad

Ziad Ali Fadhil, the Minister of Electricity, issued a set of instructions on Thursday to improve the quality of electricity service in Baghdad neighborhoods.

“Fadel visited the Baghdad Distribution Department and held an extensive meeting with officials, directors of sectors, and maintenance centers,” the ministry said in a statement. The purpose of the meeting was to examine the outcomes of the first and second rehabilitation campaigns and address congestion issues in some parts of the capital.”

“The meeting issued several important directives, most notably:,” he continued.

1 Continuation of rehabilitation efforts and installation of governing materials and transformers in maintenance facilities and sectors.

  1. Ensure the quality of maintenance work by intensifying its follow-up.

3 Keep an eye on nutrient loads and treat those that are too high to reduce them.

4- Strengthening support and technical departments’ cooperation to monitor rehabilitation campaigns.

5 Allocating transformers in accordance with importance, need, and priority.

  1. Identify areas where the network is experiencing bottlenecks and develop immediate solutions for them.
  2. strengthening the supervision of maintenance centers’ work so that they can respond quickly to emergencies.

The statement says that the Minister of Electricity emphasized “the importance of these measures in improving the quality of electricity service provided to citizens in the capital, Baghdad,” and that it was necessary to work together to get the desired results in providing supply hours that are stable and sustainable.
