The US dollar edged up slightly in Iraqi markets on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, across major cities.

In Baghdad, the selling price reached 153,500 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price was 153,250.

Basra saw a similar move, with the dollar selling at 153,500 and buying at 153,100 dinars.

In Erbil, rates also ticked up. The selling price was around 153,250, and the buying price stood at 153,000 dinars.

Even with this increase, the official rate set by the Central Bank of Iraq is still fixed at 130,000 dinars per 100 dollars.

Overall, this shows a small shift in the market. The gap between the official rate and the market rate is still there, and people are keeping a close eye on these changes.
