The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and the Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid Al-Kassbai, reviewed on Tuesday the completion of the electrical interconnection between the two countries, in accordance with a memorandum of understanding signed by Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the two sides discussed the need to continue their joint efforts to end the war in Gaza as soon as possible and to open safe corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as ways to strengthen joint cooperation and the efforts required to reduce tension in the region.

The gathering addressed measures taken by Iraq and Saudi Arabia to hold the 6th meeting of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Board.

Al-Sudani esteemed Saudi Arabia’s endeavors in the current year’s journey season, hailing the degree of administrations gave to Iraqi explorers.

Al-Kassbai underscored the Saudi government’s desire to increment respective collaboration in different fields to fortify relations among Baghdad and Riyadh.
