A Czech-Iraqi water forum was held in Baghdad under the theme “Czech Solutions for Iraq’s Water.” The event brought together Iraqi officials and Czech companies working in water management, wastewater treatment, desalination, and smart water technologies.
According to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, the forum aimed to build stronger ties between Iraqi and Czech companies and explore opportunities for cooperation, investment, and sharing technical knowledge in the water sector.
Hussein Jasim Kadhim, Director General of the General Directorate of Water, said the directorate is open to working with the Czech companies attending the forum. These include SIGMA, VCL Group, RENETRA, IPR Aqua, and ABO Valve.
He said the cooperation could help Iraq gain access to advanced technologies for desalination, wastewater treatment, and smart water monitoring systems.
