Iraqi insurance companies saw a big jump in business during the third quarter of 2025, recording written premiums of more than 207.3 billion dinars — about 159 million dollars. According to data reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), this marks an annual growth of more than 75 percent, showing strong momentum in the sector.

The numbers also ranked the top-performing companies. Iraqi Insurance Company took the lead with 36.35% of the market. It was followed by Al-Maseer Insurance at 9.94%, Asia Insurance at 9.44%, Al-Ettihad Al-Iraqi Insurance at 9.39%, National Insurance Company at 9.04%, and Al-Hamraa Insurance at 8.02%.

Officials said releasing these figures is part of the Insurance Diwan’s push for more transparency, stronger oversight, and greater confidence in the insurance industry.
