Iraqi oil prices moved lower on Tuesday as global crude markets also came under pressure.
Basra Heavy crude fell to $60.66 per barrel, down 0.64%, while Basra Medium crude dropped to $62.76 per barrel. The decline reflected the broader weakness seen across international oil markets.
Global benchmark prices also recorded losses. Brent crude slipped to $72.74 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell to $70.50 per barrel.
Across the region, the performance of Arab crude grades was mixed. Saudi Arabia’s Arab Light crude posted a slight decline, and Kuwait’s export crude blend fell to $79.44 per barrel.
However, not all regional grades followed the downward trend. The UAE’s Murban crude stood out by recording a gain, rising to $69.16 per barrel despite the broader market weakness.
The latest price movements highlight the continued volatility in global energy markets, where supply concerns, demand expectations, and geopolitical developments continue to influence crude oil prices on a daily basis.
