Iraq’s Ministry of trade has held discussions with a delegation from the United nations financial and Social commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) technology Centre for Entrepreneurship to explore joint mechanisms for empowering small and medium-sized establishments (SMEs) in Iraq.

in line with the Ministry’s media office, Director popular of the private quarter development department, Malek Khalaf Al-Duraie, said the meeting targeted on growing joint programmes to guide marketers and startups, in step with the authorities’s method to enhance the non-public zone and create sustainable employment possibilities.

Al-Duraie noted that the department, underneath the route of Minister of change Dr. Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairi, is working to bolster partnerships with international businesses and spark off financial empowerment tasks, in particular for entrepreneurs and startups.

The ESCWA representative offered key initiatives helping sustainable and artisanal companies, confirming the corporation’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry on joint development programmes that foster SME boom and contribute to financial diversification.

The meeting paperwork part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to make bigger cooperation with UN organizations in aid of the Iraqi authorities’s imaginative and prescient to construct a numerous countrywide economy and sell entrepreneurship.
