It’s important to understand that there are two separate processes regarding Iraq’s currency. Firstly, inside Iraq, the plan is to remove the three zero notes gradually, while also introducing lower denomination notes. These three zero notes will still coexist temporarily, but there won’t be a revaluation (RV) happening within Iraq itself. Secondly, regarding the currency outside of Iraq, the existing three zero notes won’t be removed or devalued immediately. Instead, those notes collected from outside will be tracked, with some destroyed and others sent back to Iraq for large trade transactions. This means there’s no need to worry about losing value for the notes we hold, as the central bank has outlined their process clearly. So, there’s little reason for concern; many believe this investment will be profitable in the long run.
