NewsElectricity Ministry denies reducing power supply by one hour per day due to Iranian gas outage

The Ministry of Electricity has denied claims circulating on social media that Iraq will only receive one hour of electricity per day.

In a statement, the media office of Electricity Minister Ziad Ali Fadel said the comments being shared online were completely false and were never made by the minister.

The ministry explained that around 70% of Iraq’s electricity production relies on local fuel, not Iranian gas, and that the rumors about massive power shortages are not true.

Officials urged citizens to ignore misleading information and rely on official statements for accurate updates about the power supply situation.
