In Baghdad, Independent MP Bassem Al-Gharibawi has confirmed that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani conducted a series of meetings with various committees to overcome obstacles to the oil and gas law. According to Al-Gharibawi, the law requires political consensus to resolve some of its paragraphs before it can be presented to Parliament for voting.
