MP Basim al-Gharabi said the Ministry of Finance is now working on setting the funding levels for the proposed Emergency Support Law.
He explained that the ministry is determining how much money will be allocated before sending the plan to the Central Bank and then to Parliament for a vote.
According to al-Gharabi, this step is important to make sure the funding meets real needs. He said the amounts are being carefully reviewed through technical and legal checks to ensure transparency.
He also stressed that the goal is to use the funds properly. The focus is on avoiding waste and making sure the money is not spent on unnecessary or unproductive projects.
Parliament, he added, will have the final say and is expected to approve only what directly benefits citizens.
Al-Gharabi noted that the Finance Committee is closely monitoring the process. The priority, he said, is to cover urgent living and service needs while avoiding the financial mistakes seen in some past projects.
In simple terms, the aim is to plan carefully now so the money is used where it actually matters later.
