Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mohammed Hadi, revealed on Saturday that lawmakers are working to secure permanent employment opportunities for contract and daily wage workers through the 2027 federal budget.
Hadi said there is strong parliamentary support for finding legal and financial solutions that would help ensure the continued employment of these workers and provide them with greater job stability.
He noted that contract and daily wage workers have spent years serving in various government institutions and stressed that they should not continue facing uncertainty caused by temporary contracts or unclear funding allocations.
According to Hadi, the initiative aims to include the necessary financial allocations in the 2027 budget while taking into account the country’s financial capabilities and existing regulations. The plan is expected to address the issue gradually and in an organized manner.
He also confirmed that the Finance Committee will closely monitor the matter during budget discussions, with the goal of reaching a solution that protects the rights of contract and daily wage workers and provides them with long-term job security.
