Hussein Al-Karaawi, a member of the Popular Movement for the Belt and Road, stated on Thursday that Iraq has the necessary abilities to free itself from the economic burden created by the United States. He proposed that Iraq should align itself with other countries in the East and engage in mutually beneficial financial and commercial partnerships instead of continuing to be under American influence.
Al-Karaawi says, “Iraq has great economic potential that needs optimal investment to get rid of the American cloak and will that imposes itself on Iraq through the dollar and correct management to lead it towards achieving success.”
He said, “There is an urgent need for Iraq to move towards the countries of the East to develop economic and trade relations in various fields and get rid of the American hegemony imposed by Washington on Baghdad.”
He said that “the possibility exists to expand economic outlets and trade exchange in various currencies, whether in the ruble or the Chinese yuan and not to limit the economy to the US dollar, due to the failure and fear of some political parties and their efforts to preserve their interests and ensure their survival in power.”
