On Thursday, the Parliamentary Energy and Electricity Committee confirmed plans to build additional stations in order to ease traffic congestion in towns and villages and disclosed the imminent entrance of new energy sources into operation.
“The Ministry of Electricity’s allocations almost meet the needs of production, transportation, and distribution,” committee member Dakhel Radhi stated in an interview with the, adding that “lands that have been expropriated for the benefit of the Ministry of Electricity to establish new stations.”
He said, “Parliament gave its attention to the Ministry of Electricity’s allocations to implement strategic projects,” highlighting that “there are projects in the center and south that will see the light during the next phase to raise energy production.”
The Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee, which advocated for the use of renewable energy, predicted that the energy crisis will be resolved within the following two years.
