Today, Sunday, the Karkh Criminal Court gave a five-year jail sentence against two convicts for beguiling a complainant into naming her and her girl in return for amounts of cash. The Preeminent Legal Committee expressed in an explanation that “the convicts took amounts of cash from the complainant in return for selecting her and her girl in one of the public authority divisions by utilizing false techniques and furnishing them with manufactured arrangement letters.”
The chamber added, “The decision comes in view of the arrangements of Article 456/1/An and B and considering Articles 47, 48 and 49 of Reformatory Code No. 111 of 1969 on interest.”
