For instance, when U.S. Treasury officials pointed out that the Japanese yen was undervalued, they suggested a remedy that would strengthen the currency, not weaken it. Additionally, the Iraqi dinar has been priced low for many years due to political instability and a shadow economy, but steps are being taken to address this.
