A member of Iraq’s State of Law Coalition says political leaders are pushing to form a more organized and effective government.
Salah Boushi said leaders within the Coordination Framework want the next government to move away from political favors and focus instead on strong institutional work that serves citizens and strengthens the state.
According to him, the coming phase requires action—not just political agreements. He stressed that success will depend on turning promises into real performance on the ground.
Boushi also said the future of Prime Minister-designate Ali al-Zaidi’s government will depend on how well it handles the country’s ongoing crises.
He added that government performance will be the key factor in maintaining political support and stability in the period ahead.
