Ahmed Abd Rabbo, a researcher in economics, said on Monday that the removal of Central Bank Governor Ali Al-Alaq is now absolutely necessary.
“The dismissal of the Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, has become an absolute necessity because there is a catastrophic failure in supporting local banks, and Jordanian and Emirati banks are now seizing remittances,” Abd Rabbo stated to “Jarida.”
He continued, “In addition to the fact that the governor and the staff of the Central Bank are not prepared to manage this important file, the Central Bank has also stopped lending initiatives that were contributing to fully supporting the housing, production, and industry sectors, and this is dangerous.”
