The Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, made the decision today, Friday, to give the directors of distribution company branches permission to purchase transformers in order to speed up the process of fixing problems.
“The Minister of Electricity issued a decision authorizing branch managers in all distribution companies to purchase 50 transformers, with the aim of enhancing operational capabilities and accelerating the process of repairing faults in the electrical network,” read a statement from the ministry.
“This measure aims to reduce the burden on maintenance teams and save the time required to repair faults and remove bottlenecks, which will significantly contribute to improving the network’s response to the needs of consumers and reducing periods of power outages,” he added.
