The US dollar moved higher against the Iraqi dinar at the start of Saturday trading, with exchange rates rising in both Baghdad and Erbil.
According to market data, the dollar traded at 153,100 Iraqi dinars per 100 US dollars in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, compared with 152,750 dinars recorded on Thursday. This indicates a noticeable increase in the dollar’s value against the dinar.
In Baghdad’s local exchange shops, the selling price reached 153,500 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price stood at 152,500 dinars.
Meanwhile, in Erbil, the dollar was sold at 153,000 dinars per 100 dollars and bought at 152,900 dinars.
The latest figures show continued pressure on the Iraqi dinar in the parallel market, with traders closely monitoring currency demand and market liquidity in the coming days.
