In September, 599 domestic firms and 27 international company branches were registered, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Trade.
A number of judgments were also made by the Companies Registration Department, which was headed by Rashad Khalaf Hashim. These included changes to joint-stock company contracts, capital adjustments, and company mergers and liquidations.
Furthermore, 337 Iraqi and 18 international firms were recommended for legal inquiry for regulatory infractions, while 897 entities were formally documented.
In addition, the department conducted capital adjustments for 209 businesses, assessed the final accounts of 1,922 domestic companies and 121 overseas branches, and managed a number of business-related procedures, such as mergers and liquidations, for 580 companies.
