Abdul Rahman al-Jazaeri, head of the political body of the National Tribal Movement, said the Iraqi government may eventually be forced to adjust the dollar exchange rate in local markets because of the economic challenges caused by the recent conflict in the region.

Al-Jazaeri explained that raising the value of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar is a possibility under the current circumstances. He said the regional war has created serious economic pressure on Iraq and has affected many of the government’s financial and economic plans.

According to him, the crisis has impacted the country’s budget, foreign financial transactions, and the stability of the exchange rate. He also pointed to disruptions in Iraqi oil exports, which have added further pressure on the economy.

Al-Jazaeri said the government may have to take difficult economic measures to deal with these challenges and help stabilize the country’s finances. He noted that economic conditions have become more complicated and could require new policies to keep the economy moving in the right direction.

He added that with an economic expert leading the government, decisions will likely focus on addressing the financial impact of recent regional developments and protecting Iraq’s economic stability.
