Iraq’s General Customs Authority collected IQD 442.3 billion ($293 million) in customs revenues in September 2026, up from IQD 334.2 billion ($221 million) in September 2025.
The increase reached IQD 108.1 billion ($72 million), or around 32% compared with the same month last year.
The authority said the growth was driven by improvements in customs operations, more efficient revenue collection and continued efforts to increase non-oil income.
The figures were announced by Director-General Dr. Thamer Qassem Daoud, following the directions of Finance Minister Faleh Sari.
