The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) said bank lending in the country continued to grow in the third quarter of 2025.

According to the CBI, total credit provided by operating banks rose by 1.88%, reaching 73,942 billion Iraqi dinars, or about $56.5 billion.

That’s an increase from 72,578 billion Iraqi dinars, roughly $55.5 billion, during the same period in 2024.

The numbers show a steady rise in bank lending, pointing to stronger financial activity and increased access to credit across Iraq’s banking sector.
