A security source said on Tuesday that authorities raided a house in a well-known neighborhood in central Kirkuk as part of ongoing investigations linked to former Deputy Oil Minister Adnan al-Jumaili, who is currently being held in custody.
According to the source, a joint security force, accompanied by a team from the Integrity Commission, carried out a search of a residence in the Al-Qadisiyah neighborhood. The house reportedly belongs to a person believed to have close connections to al-Jumaili.
During the raid, investigators allegedly discovered documents and cash inside the property. Officials are expected to release a statement in the coming hours providing more details about the items seized and the findings of the operation.
The source added that several locations across Kirkuk have been searched over the past two weeks as part of broader corruption investigations, including the case involving Adnan al-Jumaili.
Authorities have not yet released an official report on the latest raid or confirmed the nature of the materials that were recovered.
