In order to achieve a development renaissance in the country, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized that the government pays close attention to the electricity file because it is one of the foundations on which economic plans and infrastructure projects in all sectors depend.
“Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting to develop immediate and future plans to address the electricity shortage,” read a statement from his media office.
“The meeting witnessed a discussion of developing a new technical and economic vision to address the problem of the shortage of electricity supply in the short and long term and to develop rapid solutions that would contribute to providing electricity to citizens and other vital sectors,” he explained.
“The meeting discussed the approved mechanism for providing fuel and the financing mechanism in the new economic model for electricity production projects planned by the government within its new vision in this important sector,” according to the statement.
