The US dollar weakened against the Iraqi dinar on Wednesday, with exchange rates staying close to 154,000 dinars for every $100 in both Baghdad and Erbil.
In Baghdad, trading at the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges reached 154,150 dinars per $100. This was lower than the previous rate of 154,600 dinars, showing a slight gain for the Iraqi dinar.
At local exchange shops in the capital, the dollar was selling for 154,500 dinars per $100, while buyers were paying 153,500 dinars.
The dollar also eased in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. Exchange shops were selling $100 for 154,100 dinars and buying it for 154,000 dinars.
The latest figures show a modest improvement for the dinar as currency trading remained relatively stable across Iraq’s main markets.
