The U.S. dollar rose against the Iraqi dinar on Saturday in both Baghdad and Erbil markets as Eid al-Adha holidays continued and many exchange offices and companies remained closed.
In Baghdad, the selling price of $100 reached 154,000 Iraqi dinars, while the buying price stood at 153,000 dinars per $100.
In Erbil, the dollar also recorded higher exchange rates. The selling price reached 153,200 dinars per $100, while the buying price was 153,100 dinars per $100.
The increase comes as trading activity remains weaker than usual during the holiday period. Market observers say the closure of many exchange companies and reduced business activity have affected currency trading and contributed to fluctuations in exchange rates.
