The exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar remained broadly stable across Iraq on Wednesday as market activity slowed ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday period.

According to a market survey by Shafaq News, currency exchange shops in Baghdad maintained the same rates recorded on Tuesday, with the selling price at 153,750 Iraqi dinars per 100 US dollars and the buying price at 152,750 dinars.

In Erbil, exchange rates also showed little movement. The selling price held at 152,950 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price remained at 152,850 dinars.

The relative stability reflects reduced trading volumes and cautious market activity during the Eid holiday period, as many financial and commercial operations temporarily slow across Iraq.
