The US dollar opened higher in Iraq on Saturday, trading near 156,000 Iraqi dinars per 100 dollars.

According to a market survey, the dollar was trading at 156,350 dinars per 100 dollars in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, up from 156,000 dinars in the previous session.

In Baghdad’s local exchange markets, the selling price reached 156,750 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price stood at 155,750 dinars.

In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, exchange shops sold the dollar at 156,350 dinars per 100 dollars and bought it at 156,250 dinars.

The latest increase reflects continued fluctuations in Iraq’s currency market, with the dollar maintaining its position above 156,000 dinars per 100 dollars in both Baghdad and Erbil.
