The exchange rate of the US dollar declined in Baghdad and Erbil markets on Thursday morning, continuing the daily fluctuations seen in Iraq’s currency market.
According to a correspondent for dinaropinions.com, the dollar fell in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges to 156,000 Iraqi dinars per $100, compared to 156,200 dinars recorded on Wednesday.
The correspondent added that selling prices at exchange shops in Baghdad’s local markets also dropped, reaching 156,500 dinars per $100. Meanwhile, the buying price stood at 155,500 dinars per $100.
In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, the dollar also recorded a slight decline. The selling price reached 155,900 dinars per $100, while the buying price was 155,800 dinars.
The exchange rate continues to fluctuate from day to day, influenced by market activity, supply and demand, and trading volumes across local currency markets.
