The U.S. dollar strengthened against the Iraqi dinar in local markets on Wednesday, with exchange rates rising in Baghdad, Erbil and Basra.
In Baghdad, the selling price of $100 reached 156,500 Iraqi dinars, while the buying price stood at 155,500 dinars.
In Erbil, $100 was selling for 156,000 dinars and buying at 155,000 dinars.
Meanwhile, in Basra, the selling price climbed to 156,250 dinars per $100, while the buying price reached 155,750 dinars.
The dollar’s exchange rate continues to fluctuate in Iraq’s local markets, with prices changing regularly based on supply and demand as well as daily trading activity.
Market observers say movements in the exchange rate are influenced by the volume of dollar demand, the availability of foreign currency and ongoing market transactions across the country.
