Iraq Securities Commission said the total market value of companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange increased by 22.2% during the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year.
According to the commission’s latest quarterly report, the market capitalization reached around 26.9 trillion Iraqi dinars, equal to about $20.5 billion.
The report also showed that trading activity during the quarter reached nearly 59.8 billion dinars, or around $45.6 million, with more than 46,000 trades carried out across the market.
The quarterly report reviewed the performance of listed companies and sectors, trading activity by foreign investors, and the work carried out by the commission’s different departments.
The commission said it is continuing efforts to strengthen Iraq’s capital market and expand its role in supporting the country’s economy. These efforts include improving financial transparency and disclosure, pushing forward digital transformation, and updating regulations to better match international standards and best practices.
