An Iraqi-Turkish roundtable meeting was held in Baghdad to discuss ways to strengthen trade and economic ties between Iraq and Turkey.
The meeting was led by Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi and attended by a large group of Turkish business representatives. Minister of Trade Mustafa Nizar Jumaa and other government officials also took part in the discussions.
According to the Ministry of Trade, the meeting focused on steps the government is taking to improve cooperation between the two countries and create a better environment for investment and business.
Officials also reviewed measures aimed at making trade between Iraq and Turkey easier, in line with the Prime Minister’s efforts to support economic growth and expand international partnerships.
The meeting comes shortly after Prime Minister al-Zaidi’s visit to Ankara last week, where he traveled with a high-level government delegation to discuss a range of economic and trade issues.
