PolySwarm’s NCT token surged more than 200% after South Korean crypto exchange Upbit announced it would add the token to its Korean won market.

Trading for the NCT/KRW pair is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. KST on August 26, giving NCT direct access to one of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency markets. The token was already available on Upbit through a Bitcoin trading pair.

Ahead of the launch, Upbit introduced several temporary trading restrictions. Buy orders will be blocked for the first five minutes after trading starts, while sell orders priced more than 10% below the reference price will also face restrictions. During the first two hours, only limit orders will be allowed.

The exchange said the launch could be delayed if there is not enough liquidity from deposits and withdrawals, but no postponement had been announced at the time of the update.

NCT saw a strong market reaction following the listing announcement. The token climbed to around $0.0146, posting gains of more than 200% in 24 hours. Trading volume also jumped sharply as investors rushed into the market.

Upbit will also waive trading fees for the NCT/KRW market during the first 24 hours after launch. The promotion is set to run from August 26 to August 27.

For deposits and withdrawals, Upbit will support only the Ethereum network. Users have been advised to use the correct network when transferring tokens to avoid delays or issues with deposits.

PolySwarm is a cybersecurity-focused platform that operates as a decentralized threat intelligence marketplace. The project uses NCT tokens to reward participants who help identify malicious files and provide security-related data. The token also gives users access to threat intelligence services available through the platform.

With the listing now confirmed, traders will be watching closely to see how NCT performs when trading officially opens on Upbit and whether the strong price momentum continues.
