NFT sales reached $39.85 million in the seven days leading up to Oct. 10, rising 0.90% from the previous week. Ethereum remained the leading blockchain for NFT sales, while Pudgy Penguins recorded a sharp increase in sales.

According to CryptoSlam, total NFT sales reached $39,853,744 during the seven-day period. However, buyer and seller activity dropped significantly, showing that higher sales value did not translate into broader participation.

The number of buyer addresses fell 85.33% to 30,332, while seller addresses declined 84.45% to 30,598. NFT transactions also dropped 6.92% to 778,055. The average recorded transaction value was approximately $51.22.

Ethereum remained the largest blockchain for NFT sales, followed by Polygon and Bitcoin. Among individual collections, Courtyard took the top spot, while Pudgy Penguins recorded one of the strongest weekly gains.

Ethereum leads NFT blockchain sales

Ethereum ranked first with $17.60 million in NFT sales, up 4.52% from the previous week. It accounted for around 44.2% of total NFT sales tracked by CryptoSlam.

The network recorded 4,254 buyer addresses, down 85.84%. Its separately tracked wash-trading volume rose 12.45% to $1.15 million.

Polygon ranked second with $8.62 million in sales, increasing 5.76%. However, buyer addresses fell 78.88% to 10,055. Polygon also recorded $19.03 million in wash trading, down 17.86%. This figure is tracked separately from the network’s ranked NFT sales.

Bitcoin placed third with $3.55 million in sales, down 7.33%. Its buyer count fell 88.02% to 1,243, while wash-trading volume declined 2.42% to $80,297.

Immutable ranked fourth with $2.64 million in sales, up 22.06%. Base followed with $2.40 million, recording a 27.87% increase.

BNB Chain recorded $1.80 million in sales, down 16.26%, while Solana generated approximately $1.57 million, falling 10.51%.

Together, the six leading blockchains accounted for about $36.62 million, or 91.9% of total NFT sales during the week.

Courtyard leads NFT collections as Pudgy Penguins surges

Courtyard topped the collection rankings with $7.68 million in sales, up 6.56% from the previous week. The Polygon-based collection accounted for approximately 19.3% of the overall NFT market.

Courtyard recorded 133,068 transactions, an increase of 7.52%. Its buyer addresses fell 7.50% to 19,547, while seller addresses declined 3.96% to 15,397.

Ethereum-based CryptoPunks ranked second with $2.45 million in sales, rising 24.45%. The collection recorded 26 transactions, up 23.81%, with 18 buyer addresses.

Pudgy Penguins came third with $1.50 million in sales, a 125.66% increase. Transactions climbed 151.28% to 196, while buyer addresses increased 54.10% to 94. Seller addresses rose 101.64% to 123.

Guild of Guardians Heroes ranked fourth with $1.34 million in sales, up 27.96%. Argonauts followed with $1.34 million, gaining 11.89%.

Base-based Beezie recorded $847,665 in sales, up 18.08%, while Ethereum-based Claus generated $823,768.

The results show that sales growth was concentrated in certain collections, with Pudgy Penguins standing out for its strong weekly increase.

Bitcoin NFT transaction tops individual sales

A $8888 BRC-20 NFT transaction on Bitcoin topped CryptoSlam’s individual NFT sales rankings at approximately $327,126. The sale involved 3.9989 BTC and took place about a day before the Oct. 10 data check.

The transaction accounted for nearly all of the collection’s reported weekly volume of $327,134 across two transactions.

Flying Tulip PUT #7571 ranked second with a sale worth $148,851, paid in USDT on Ethereum. CryptoPunks #2651 followed with a sale worth approximately $135,637, settled in 50 ETH.

CryptoPunks #5713 ranked fourth at around $132,924, paid in 49 ETH. Flying Tulip PUT #149 completed the top five with a sale valued at $126,873.

Overall, the NFT market recorded a slight increase in weekly sales, led by Ethereum and collections such as Courtyard and Pudgy Penguins. However, the sharp decline in buyer and seller addresses suggests that the higher sales value came alongside much lower participation across the market.
