Following a report that suggested Iran could be planning an attack on Israel in the next days, oil prices surged, drawing the market’s attention once again to the potential for Middle East conflict.
West Texas Intermediate crude increased to about $71 on Friday, while Brent crude increased by up to 2% to trade above $74 a barrel.
