The house of Representatives’ Oil, fuel, and natural resources Committee acknowledged on Sunday that political differences are impeding the passage of the oil and gas regulation, stressing that consensus between Baghdad and Erbil is a prerequisite for its passage.
Committee member Bassem Al-Gharibawi informed dinaropinions.com that “disagreements between the federal government and the Kurdistan location are hindering the passage of the law in parliament.”
He mentioned that “political ambiguity stays an obstacle to resolving the difficulty during the present day parliamentary session.”
He talked about that “the regulation is considered debatable law, and it could only be exceeded with political consensus amongst all parties.”
