Polymarket appoints Amazon veteran as first CFO

Polymarket has appointed former Amazon finance executive Warren Jenson as its first chief financial officer, putting him in charge of the company’s finances and capital strategy as it expands its business in the United States.

Jenson will report directly to Polymarket founder and CEO Shayne Coplan. His responsibilities will include leading the finance team, managing capital strategy, improving financial systems and handling long-term planning across the company’s global operations.

The appointment comes as Polymarket works on two major parts of its business. The company is developing a U.S. exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission while continuing to operate its international prediction market platform.

Jenson brings years of experience from major companies. He previously held senior finance positions at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and NBC. He also served as president and CFO of Nielsen, where he worked across finance, strategy, technology and corporate development.

Jenson was also previously president of LiveRamp, where he managed finance and international operations. He currently serves on the boards of Ripple, Dropbox and DigitalOcean.

Jenson said his goal will be to build the financial systems and capital strategy needed to help Polymarket grow quickly. He described the opportunity ahead as very large.

Polymarket’s U.S. expansion follows its $112 million purchase of QCEX and QC Clearing in 2025. The acquisition gave the company access to regulated infrastructure that could support its return to the U.S. market.

Polymarket had previously been blocked from serving U.S. customers after a 2022 enforcement action by the CFTC. The regulator said the company had offered event-based contracts without the required registration. Polymarket agreed to pay a $1.4 million penalty and restrict access for U.S. customers.

The QCEX acquisition gave Polymarket a new path toward operating in the U.S. through regulated entities. The company continues to operate its international platform separately.

Capital management is also becoming more important as Polymarket grows. Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, agreed in 2025 to invest up to $2 billion in Polymarket. The deal initially valued the company at about $8 billion.

Separate reports later said Polymarket was working on another $1 billion funding round that could value the company at around $21 billion. Polymarket had not confirmed the completion of that round in its CFO announcement.

Jenson’s role will include financial planning, capital allocation and managing the company’s financial infrastructure. His appointment gives Polymarket a dedicated executive focused on these areas as the company expands.

The company did not announce a specific launch date for its U.S. exchange or provide details about any new products connected to Jenson’s appointment.

For now, Polymarket is focused on building its regulated U.S. business while continuing to grow its international platform. Bringing in its first CFO signals that the company is preparing its financial operations for a larger and more complex stage of growth.
