Nizar Amedi held talks with a delegation from the Syndicate of Iraqi Programmers at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.
The delegation was led by Syndicate President Atheer Hamed Abdul Amir Al-Qaisi, who congratulated Amedi on taking office and discussed the future of Iraq’s software and information technology sectors.
The meeting focused on ways Iraq can make better use of the skills of young programmers and technology specialists to support national development and speed up the modernization of government institutions.
President Amedi stressed the importance of investing more in technical training and professional development while creating an environment that encourages creativity and innovation. He described these efforts as a key part of the government’s broader digital transformation plans.
The delegation also confirmed its support for national projects aimed at improving and modernizing Iraq’s digital sector.
