Finance Minister Faleh Sari has instructed Rafidain Bank to launch employee loans, simplify application procedures, and increase financing for the private sector.
Sari issued the instructions during a visit to the bank on Monday, where he chaired a meeting with Director General Dr. Ali Karim and senior officials.
During the visit, the minister received an update on the bank’s modernization plans, including efforts to automate operations and introduce more electronic banking systems.
He also opened a new branch inside the bank’s main building dedicated to serving business customers.
Sari said Rafidain Bank plays a central role in Iraq’s state banking system and stressed the need to continue improving its technical and administrative infrastructure.
