Rehabilitating the Beiji-Kirkuk oil product pipeline after suspension since 2014

The Oil Pipelines Organization reported on Saturday the fulfillment of restoration works for the 12-inch oil items pipeline “Baiji – Kirkuk”.

Ali Abdul Kareem Al-Mousawi, the Head supervisor of the Oil Pipelines Organization, expressed, “The specialized and designing groups of the organization prevailed with regards to doing upkeep and restoration chips away at the pipeline after it had been unavailable starting around 2014 because of psychological militant demonstrations that impacted the locale. The siphoning of oil items towards the advanced Kirkuk oil station was continued, matching with the activity of the Northern Treatment facility in Baiji and the expansion in refining capacities with respect to the resolute processing plants.”

That’s what he added “the pipeline adds to the transportation of white oil items (fuel, lamp oil, gas oil) from the Northern Treatment facilities Organization/Relentless Processing plant (Baiji) to the Kirkuk terminal through the Baiji siphoning station, with a limit going from four to 6,000,000 liters each day, guaranteeing the appearance of oil items to the residents in Kirkuk and its regions and partnered regions, as well as the northern governorates, as well as enacting siphoning limits through pipelines and decreasing tension on transportation by big haulers.”

Al-Mousawi brought up that “support works included refreshing the siphoning frameworks at the Baiji siphoning station through important associations, mechanical and electrical works, establishment of meters, and present day control frameworks for medium-pressure siphons (KV 6.6/320KW), and beginning the establishment of siphons to give adaptability and mitigate functional bottlenecks happening at the Northern Treatment facilities Organization to siphon oil items towards the organization’s focal stops.”
